Camping Information
TENT CAMPING
Legend Valley has lots of open fields, woods, treelines and meadows, you can
set up your tent pretty much anywhere other than in the parking, stage, RV or
vending areas. Onsite, there will be an ATM, port-a-potties, drinkable water, a
medical tent and ice. It's a good idea to bring a wagon or something to carry
your gear from the parking area to wherever you set up camp.
Food, non-alcoholic beverages, crafts, and clothing will be available for sale
from official vendors. No electricity is available. Most cell phones work just
fine.
TENTS AND CARS?
Vehicles and tent camping are separate (but parking is onsite).
Vehicles cannot be next to tents. All cars will be parked in a designated
parking area. Please plan ahead for carrying your gear from the parking area to
your camp site, we recommend bringing a wagon.
HANDICAPPED ACCESS
Hookahville has a special camping area set aside for those with
physical disabilities or injuries. This area is closer to the main concert area
and can allow for wheelchair access. No reservations are required, but you will
need an official handicap permit or an obvious physical handicap (like a broken
leg) to access/park/camp in this area.
RV's
There is a designated RV area at Hookahville. The RV area is
primitive. There are no hookups, no dumping stations, or electricity. No
reservations, first come basis. If you absolutely must have a spot in the RV
area, we recommend arriving Thursday for Early Bird camping. There is an extra
charge for that - $20 per RV - arrive anytime after 3PM Thursday, Aug 31st. The
RV area usually fills up by Friday afternoon/evening. No ground fires in the RV
area please.
CAMPING IN YOUR VEHICLE?
If you plan to sleep in your van, truck or bus, you will need to park in the RV
area. No tents can be pitched in the RV area or in the parking lot. Tents and
cars are separate. Unless you have a physical disability, there are no
exceptions.
QUIET/FAMILY CAMPING
There is an area set aside for families and those wishing to have a somewhat
quieter camp. This area is tents-only and you may not park your vehicle in it.
Family/Quiet camp is in the lower field.
If you have an RV or van, you will camp in the RV area which is
generally quieter than "tent city" anyway.
